Our commitment to fair lending
Personify Finance App and its lending partners are committed to the principles of fair and equal credit access. We comply with the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), the Fair Housing Act, and other federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws.
Equal Credit Opportunity Act
The federal Equal Credit Opportunity Act prohibits creditors from discriminating against credit applicants on the basis of:
- Race or color
- Religion
- National origin
- Sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation)
- Marital status
- Age (provided the applicant has the legal capacity to contract)
- Receipt of income from any public assistance program
- Exercise, in good faith, of any right under the Consumer Credit Protection Act
Personify Finance credit decisions are based solely on legally permissible factors — income, debt-to-income ratio, credit history, and ability to repay.
If you believe you've experienced discrimination
If you believe you have been discriminated against in connection with a Personify Finance loan application, you have the right to file a complaint with:
- The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB)
- The Federal Trade Commission (FTC)
- Your state attorney general or state banking regulator
Adverse action notices
If your Personify Finance application is declined, federal law entitles you to a written adverse action notice within 30 days explaining the principal reasons for the decision. If credit information was used in that decision, you also have the right to a free copy of the credit report used.
Protected activity
Nothing in this notice restricts your right to:
- Review your credit report (free annually at AnnualCreditReport.com)
- Dispute inaccurate credit report information
- Opt out of pre-screened credit offers
- File a complaint with any consumer protection agency
