Personify Finance state availability

Personify Finance personal loans are offered in most U.S. states, but not all. Available APR, loan amount, and repayment term can vary significantly by state because state law caps and licensing requirements differ. The fastest way to confirm Personify Finance availability in your state is to check your rate — if we don't serve your state, you'll see a notice during the rate-check flow and no application will be submitted.

States where Personify Finance typically does not operate

Due to state licensing requirements or interest rate caps that make the Personify Finance product uneconomical, personal loans may not be available in certain states. These typically include some Northeast and West Coast states with strict small-loan caps. The simplest way to know for sure is to check your rate — Personify Finance will either show you an offer or tell you your state is not currently served.

Why does Personify Finance availability vary by state?

Three main reasons:

  1. State licensing. Each state regulates consumer lending separately. Personify Finance must hold the appropriate consumer lender or installment lender license in every state where it operates. Obtaining and maintaining those licenses takes time.
  2. Interest rate caps. Some states cap small-loan APRs at 36% or lower. The Personify Finance underwriting model targets borrowers that fall outside traditional bank risk tolerance, so in states with very strict caps the loan amounts and APRs available may be narrower, or the product may not be offered at all.
  3. State-specific disclosures. Each state has unique disclosure, right-to-cancel, and fee rules Personify Finance must comply with. New state launches require legal and compliance work.

What to do if Personify Finance isn't available in your state

Important: beware of out-of-state Personify Finance "offers" if your state isn't served

If Personify Finance doesn't operate in your state, any email, text, or ad claiming to offer you a Personify Finance loan is likely a scam. Never pay an upfront "activation fee" to receive a Personify Finance loan from your state when the real Personify Finance platform shows your state is unavailable.
